7 Adjustment / Maintenance

7.1 In general

Before adjusting / maintaining the machine, the following has to be observed

Persons, who are working for adjusting / maintaining the machine should be aware at all times that moving machine parts can cause bodily injuries.

Adjusting / maintaining must be done only by trained and responsible persons
Before adjusting /maintaining the power supply must be cut
Make sure, nobody can switch on the power supply during adjustment / maintaining, thus putting the press back into operation
Adjusting / maintaining of the hydraulic system is only allowed with the pressure ram on lowest position and no pressure applied to the hydraulic system
During adjusting / maintaining, any leak of hydraulic fluid has to be absorbed with adequate binder immediately and disposed according to the local regulations and laws
Before putting the machine back to operation check if ll safety cover plates are remounted and check of all safety devices are OK.

Check all parts according chapter 5.4
Remove material accumulation from the upper side of the pressure ram
Check hydraulic system for leakage, hydraulic hoses for wear.
Any leak of hydraulic fluid has be absorbed with the adequate binder immediately and disposed according the regulations and laws!
Check the level of hydraulic fluid and if necessary you fill up hydraulic fluid to the bottom of the fill-up nozzle

- Pressure ram must be in the top-up position
- There is a gauge bar in the cover of the filling piece and the fluid level must be filled at the lower edge of the filling piece.
